Dr. Dr. (Med) Abdul-Malik Bawah is a Senior Clinical Lecturer,
Medical Doctor, and Nutritionist/Dietitian, with over twelve years of experience in tertiary education, research, and clinical practice. He is currently the Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Allied Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he has led major academic developments, staff capacity initiatives and student mentorship.
He holds a rich blend of professional and academic qualifications in medicine, nutrition, and Food Quality and Safety. He earned a BSc. in Community Nutrition, BSc in Human Biology, and an MBChB in Medicine and Surgery, MSc in Food Quality Management and a PhD in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. His academic path reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation that bridges clinical practice and nutrition science to support holistic health care and academic leadership.
He is also the Chairman of the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana (TUTAG) in TaTU, advocating nationally for the academic and professional advancement of technical university lecturers. Dr. Bawah is a dedicated educator, clinician, and mentor whose work integrates medical knowledge with evidence-based nutrition to address emerging public health challenges in Ghana and beyond.
